"We have used Derrick before and had a great experience. We called him after 5pm on 7/2/26 after noticing a branch from one of our trees was cracked and hanging over the alley behind our house. He came out today and took care of it. Thanks for coming out so quickly, especially the day before a holiday, last minute and in this sweltering heat!"

"Fantastic job. Highly recommend. 60+ yr old oak tree, 62" wide at the base. It was a beast. Great clean-up job as well. Would hire again!"

"I’ve used DC Tree Works for two projects now (one minor stump grinding and one major multiple-tree removal), and I can’t say enough about Derrick and his crew. Fair and transparent pricing, on-time arrival, safe and efficient service, and stellar post job clean-up. My neighbors all had positive things to say once our latest job was done, and I shared his contact info with all. I’ve already discussed a third project with them as I won’t use anyone else. If you’re considering any tree related projects, reach out to DC Tree Works - you won’t be disappointed."

"DC Tree Works did an amazing job for us! They removed about 12 trees, handled all the cleanup, and even ground down the roots and stumps. The crew was extremely professional, polite, and hardworking. Everything looked fantastic when they were finished, and they worked very quickly without cutting corners. "Derrick and his team were excellent! We’ve used DC Tree Works twice now because we were so impressed the first time around. I’d recommend them to anyone without hesitation. Derrick is a veteran, and those qualities clearly show in the way he runs his business. Timely, professional, fair, and hardworking from start to finish. As a safety professional myself, it’s obvious he genuinely values the safety of his crew, his customers, and their property throughout the entire process. They don’t just show up and do the job, they see it through the right way. Hard to find that level of pride and professionalism these days, but DC Tree Works delivers every time."

"Derrick and his team did excellent work trimming four large maples in my yard. Their pricing is very reasonable compared to a few others I received quotes from. They were able to schedule me in within the same month I received a quote which was great. DC Tree Works has done a few of my neighbors’ trees on my street they’ve all said great things about their work. I’d recommend them to anyone who’s looking to hire a reasonable, quick, and trustworthy crew!"

"Derek and his crew are polite, easy to work and communicate with, and, best of all, they do good work at a reasonable price. We've had them twice, to take down a couple trees that were encroaching on our driveway and then to clear out a bunch (60 or so) overgrown arborvitae, and both times we've been very happy with their work. I would definitely use them again."

"DC Tree Works just recently completed a stump removal and 6 huge bush removal. They did a fantastic job! They were very efficient and got the job done in a timely manner! They cleaned up the left over debris too! We highly recommend them for your next job!"

"The crew came ahead of schedule and took care of the tree that had fallen on our fence. They moved all of the things in my yard to get to the work area with no complaints. All of the branches were hauled away and it looked like no one had been there. I was impressed with the service we received."

"We had our tree trimmed, and they did a FANTASTIC job. 5 Stars... Great price too !"

"Derrick did a great job removing a portion of a hedge and pruning two tree/ bushes in my yard. I especially appreciated that he made the effort to come to my place late in the afternoon on the appointed day in spite of a very busy schedule due to extensive tree damage in the whole Pittsbugh area due to a recent storm. I recommend him highly."

"Great service and communication....did a spectacular job with our tree and shrubs! Will for sure use again when the need arises!!"

"After the recent storms, wind uprooted our pine tree, and Derrick was on the spot with an estimate the very next day. His crew was in and out in no time, cleaning all debris, removing the stump, etc. This is the second job DC Tree Works has done for us, and I would definitely recommend him; professional, friendly and quick service!"

"We had a very large tree limb that fell from a tree in the vacant lot next door, after the wind storm. We called Derrick Cable and within the hour, he was here! He and his assistant cut up the limb, and cleaned up the debris very nicely. We will definitely call Derrick if needed, in the future. The Hendersons"

"Derrick is one of a kind. Very professional, very business minded and just a decent person, which is hard to find in services nowadays. Derrick listened to our issues and quickly came up with a very fair priced solution, while remembering my dog's name, lol. It's a certain that I will be using his services for years to come. This pics below are from a quick job he recently did for me. A neighbors tree fell on the power lines and came down on our property. Duquesne Light would not do anything until the tree was cleared. Well, Derrick cleared it alright!! ❤️next job is a tree removal from my backyard, I cnt wait to post this pics!"

"Cannot recommend this company enough. They completed our tree removals quickly, efficiently, and safely. Cost effective isn’t even the right word when describing this company. Derrick and his crew are simply the best and we can’t talk positively enough about the work they did. If you want things done right definitely give them a call!"

Derek and his team worked flawlessly—efficient, professional, and incredibly easy to work with from start to finish. They exceeded our expectations in every way. We asked to keep the wood, and they handled everything exactly as requested. The before-and-after pictures say it all—we couldn’t be happier with the results! We highly recommend them to anyone in need of tree services and will absolutely be using them again in the future. 🌳👏🏊‍♂️"

"Derrick and his guys did an outstanding job. Very thorough and very friendly. I would highly recommend them."

"Highly recommend these guys. We work hand-in-hand on projects with them."

"In April 2025, I had a few trees damaged by the wind storm that struck the Pittsburgh area. Initially, the damaged tree was leaning on a nearby tree. However, the next windstorm brought the broken section down to the ground. With so many trees down in the surrounding areas, it was difficult to find a tree service that was available and reasonably priced. DC Tree Works was recommended by a friend, who had a tree removed. When the owner, Mr. Derrick Cable, came to provide me with an estimate, he isolated the trees that needed immediate attention. I agreed to the terms and a date was scheduled. When the crew arrived, they had the equipment necessary to do the job. As a team, they worked safely and proficiently. I was impressed with their professionalism and attention to detail. The wood that wasn't loaded on the dump truck was ran through the chipper. Then, all of the debris was raked from the yard and swept from the driveway! I would definitely use DC Tree Works again in the future!"

"We found Derrick and his crew to be very professional from start to finish. They showed up on time & completed the job very timely. The final cleanup was excellent! Definitely will use again and recommend highly."
