A lot of homeowners in the Pittsburgh area are sitting on land they own but can't actually use. The backyard is there - technically - but it's just dense trees, tangled brush, and uneven ground. That was exactly the situation here in McCandless.
We came in and cleared right around an acre of wooded space. That meant taking down trees, hauling out all the brush and debris, and then grading the ground smooth so it was actually ready for something. You can see the ground mats we laid down to protect the existing lawn and stone path while we moved equipment through - that's the kind of detail that saves a yard from getting torn up in the process.
Once the clearing and tree removal were done, we got to work grading everything out. The goal was a smooth, level surface that grass seed could actually take hold in. No stumps sticking up, no piles of debris left behind - just clean, workable ground.
The difference from where we started to where we finished is significant. What used to be a wall of overgrowth is now open space that the family can actually step into and enjoy. A lawn, a play area, a fire pit spot - whatever they want to do with it, the space is ready.
If you've got land behind your house that's just sitting there collecting brush and trees, that doesn't have to be permanent. Tree removal, brush clearing, and grading is exactly the kind of work we do - and we do it cleanly, without leaving a mess behind.
